Dekasyl ms-7 transparent 290ml cartridge

Dekasyl ms-7 is a clear, transparent sealant from Dekalin. It is completely transparent and reacts through atmospheric moisture based on a silane-terminated polymer. This one-component adhesive and sealant is versatile and can be used without primer on a wide range of substrates, including glass, glazed surfaces, enamel and painted wood. Adhesion

Generally Dekasyl ms-7without primer adheres well to clean, dry, dust and grease free substrates of aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized steel, zinc, copper, brass, powder coated metal, most painted metal surfaces, glass, pvc, polyester (grp), painted and varnished wood, etc. No adhesion without pretreatment on polyethylene, polypropylene and Teflon®. In cases of high thermal or physical stress, especially in humid environments, when high adhesion is required, the use of an adhesion promoter is recommended.

Processing

Dekasyl ms-7 can be easily applied with a hand or air gun at temperatures from +5°C to 35°C. For sealing, Dekasyl ms-7should be processed or smoothed within 10 minutes (at 20°C/50% relative humidity) with a spatula or putty knife previously dipped in mild soap solution. Avoid penetration of the side solution between the bonding sides and the sealant, as this will result in loss of adhesion. For bonding, the substrates must be assembled within 15 minutes (at 20°C/50% relative humidity) after application of Dekasyl ms-7. The higher the temperature, the shorter the working time! In general, an adhesive layer of 2 mm is recommended if similar materials (with similar strength) are to be bonded. The greater the difference in thermal expansion, the thicker the adhesive layer should be. For more information on this, please contact Dekalin. At a temperature of 20°C and a relative humidity of 50%, Dekasyl ms-7can be overpainted after 10 minutes with most industrial paints. The best possible adhesion of paint coats is achieved if the paint is applied 4 hours after application of Dekasyl ms-7. Clean tools or remove uncured residues of Dekasyl ms-7 with a clean, colorless cloth soaked in acetone or mek (it is recommended to check beforehand if the surface is affected by this cleaner).
