Sikaflex 11 fc+ Elastic adhesive and sealant 300 ml black

Sikaflex® 11 fc+ is an elastic 1-component polyurethane-based adhesive and sealant that cures to an elastomer through atmospheric moisture. It is suitable for interior and exterior applications. Sika flex® 11 fc+ is suitable for waterproofing and simple bonding in building construction and civil engineering.
Application as a sealant:Sikaflex®-11 fc+ is used as a sealant for vertical and horizontal joints with low rto medium movement absorption in wood and metal construction, air conditioning/ventilation, floor joints and many other applications. Suitable for sealing gaps and interrupted welds in steel construction.
Application as an adhesive:Sikaflex®-11 fc+ can be used as a multi-purpose adhesive in interior and exterior applications. It is suitable for simple bonding of door thresholds, skirting boards, baseboards, decorative boards and many prefabricated and other elements.

Substrate preparation

The substrate must be sound, dry, free from oil and grease and free from loose particles or dust. Sintered layers and cement slurry must be removed. Sika flex®-11 fc+ has very good adhesive properties on many clean and solid substrates. Cleaners and primers must be used for optimum adhesion and in heavy-duty applications, for joints subject to heavy loads or in extreme weather conditions. In case of doubt, please carry out preliminary tests. Primers improve the durability of the seal.
Pre-treatment on non-absorbent substrates:Glazed tiles, enamel, anodized aluminum and stainless steel (v2a, v4a) can be cleaned with Sika® Adhesive Cleaner-1 and a lint-free cloth. Then allow to flash off for at least 15. 2-component coatings or paints based on ep, up or pu, epoxy mortars or coatings, gfk based on up, ep or pu, powder-coated metals, bare aluminum and galvanized steel must be sanded with a fine abrasive fleece (e.g. siavlies very fine) under slight pressure and cleaned with Sika® Adhesive Cleaner-1 and a lint-free cloth. Then allow to flash off for at least 15 minutes. Metal substrates not mentioned above, such as copper or titanium zinc, should be cleaned with Sika® Adhesive Cleaner-1 and a lint-free cloth. Allow to flash off for at least 15 minutes, then apply Sika® Primer-3 n with a brush. Then allow to flash off for a further 30 minutes (max. 8 hours). Apply Sika® Primer-215 with a brush to the clean surface of rigid PVC. Then allow to flash off for at least 30 minutes (max. 8 hours).
Pretreatment on absorbent substrates:For pretreatment of concrete, aerated concrete, plaster, mortar, masonry or weathered wood, apply Sika® Primer-3 n to the clean substrate with a brush. Allow to flash off for at least 30 minutes (max. 8 hours).

Joint construction

In general, the joint width should be between 10 and 35 mm. A width / thickness ratio of ~1:1 / 1:0.8 should be maintained for floor joints and ~2:1 for facade joints. Joint arrangement and dimensions must be taken into account in the planning, because the joint sealer usually has no possibility to change the joints. The calculation basis for the necessary joint width is the technical characteristic values of the joint sealant and the adjacent building materials, the stress on the building components, their construction and their size. Minimum joint width for movement joints: 10mm (not for gap seals in steel construction). The joint design is based on the general technical rules.
