20 Offgridtec child safety devices for sockets with twist mechanism - socket safety device for babies
This socket safety device from Offgridtec (MPN 0003-78114) offers ideal protection for your little ones. Thanks to its twist mechanism, the safety device only moves when both holes are turned simultaneously with a plug. This protects children and babies if they turn a pen or similar object in one of the holes while playing. The safety device fits all standard German sockets and is hardly noticeable due to its white color.

Installation
To attach the child safety device securely, clean the socket beforehand and allow it to dry thoroughly. Remove the label from the adhesive surface and press the safety device firmly into the socket. Ideally, wait 12 hours before using it for the first time so that the adhesive can take effect. When the socket safety device is no longer needed, it can be removed without leaving any residue. Simply warm it up with a hair dryer and it can be easily removed.
Safety note
The recommended age for this safety device is 6–24 months. After this age, children are able to understand the principle of the twist mechanism and outsmart it. The child safety device is in no way a substitute for supervision, so never leave your child unattended for long periods of time. These safety devices work best when used with a Schuko plug (plug type F). They can also be used with a Euro flat plug, but in this case the safety devices are more likely to come loose.
