The Offgridtec MPPT Pro-Duo (MPN 1-01-011200) is an innovative high-end solar controller that was essentially designed for mobile applications. A variety of different board battery types can be charged via the primary charging output (BATT-1). The battery spectrum ranges from AGM, GEL and liquid lead acid to state-of-the-art LiFePO4 and Li-NiCoMn battery systems. The secondary battery charge output (BATT-2) is designed for a starter battery that is at the same voltage level as BATT-1. Intelligent energy saver
If there is no manual operation for an extended period of time and charging conditions are not present, the MPPT-Pro Duo will switch to energy saving mode, reducing the unit's energy consumption to a minimum. This behaviour also reduces wear and tear on the unit, which is reflected in a significantly longer service life. The system parameters are displayed and set directly via the intuitive control panel on the controller or via the MT11 remote control (accessory).
System communication and protection functions

The connection kit included in the scope of delivery offers everything needed for a quick start-up of the mobile solar set. Each fsp-2 has a 6.0m connection cable, which is equipped with a high-quality Anderson connector at the end. Matching to this, a second 0.5m connection cable is included, which is screwed directly to the solar input of the charge controller, and is also equipped with an Anderson connector on the other side. So you can quickly connect or disconnect the controller at any time via the Anderson connectors without having to unscrew the cables from the charge controller.
For the connection of the charge controller to your battery, a 1 meter long plug & play connection cable is also included. This is screwed to the battery input of the controller and is equipped with universal crocodile clips on the battery side, which can be conveniently connected to all common battery terminals. If the solar charge controller is not able to charge the battery to its full capacity within a day, the status of the battery will constantly alternate between "partially charged" and "end of discharge". This mode of operation (no regular full charging) will damage a lead-acid battery within a few weeks or months.
The Battery-Life algorithm monitors the battery's state of charge and, if necessary, raises the load disconnect threshold day by day (i.e., disconnects the load earlier) until the energy gained is sufficient to charge the battery to near 100%. From this point, the load disconnection threshold is modulated so that charging to near 100% is achieved about once a week.

This allows the SmartSolar charge controller to be fully monitored and analyzed on any app-enabled device. The required Victron Connect app can be installed free of charge. Optional, the MPPT-WireBox-M from Victron Energy is the ideal complement for your SmartSolar charge controller. With the cable, energy consumption and system costs can be significantly reduced by dimming the output of your lighting either brighter or darker depending on the ambient brightness.
The VE.Direct TX cable optimises energy consumption in solar lighting applications by dimming lamps and enables the control of a BatteryProtect or relay for a virtual load output for solar chargers without their own output. It also transmits pulses to an energy meter when 0.01 kWh of solar power is generated. The versatile cable also adds a load output to larger solar chargers, improves operating costs and increases light availability, even when the battery is partially charged due to unfavourable weather conditions.

Integrated battery life algorithm extends battery life
If the charge controller can't manage to fully charge the battery within a day the battery status switches constantly between "partly charged" and "end of discharge". This operation mode (no regular charging) is ideal for small lead batteries, for lead-acid batteries otherwise irregular charging and discharging can cause severe damage already after several months.
The battery life algorithm checks the battery's charging level and heightens the switch-off threshold from day to day. That means that connected consumers are switched off earlier until the produced energy is sufficient for a full battery charge of 100%. From this point on the threshold is modulated in a way that a full charge can be reached once a week.

If the charge controller can't manage to fully charge the battery within a day the battery status switches constantly between "partly charged" and "end of discharge". This operation mode (no regular charging) is ideal for small lead batteries, for lead-acid batteries otherwise irregular charging and discharging can cause severe damage already after several months.

Victron's BlueSolar-series provides more user comfort and possible configurations compared to the PWM-Light-series. Optionally a remote control display can be connected for an even more comfortable operation.
All control parameters can be programmed freely via remote panel or USB link + PC-software
Via the optional remote panel all relevant settings like charging voltage can be programmed freely. A feature normally found only in high-class devices. Specific charging and discharging voltage depending on the battery type as well as the switch-off/on tresholds of the consumer output can be adjusted. The remote panel is optional equipment and not included in the charge controller's delivery scope. You find this item in our shop under article number 8-67-008490.
A more economical alternative to the remote panel is the Victron USB link cable. Additionally you receive the Victron Pc software which allows full programming of your charge controller as well as the generation of comprehensive performance statistics. This cable is available in our shop under article number 1-67-008500.

If the solar charge controller is not able to charge the battery to its full capacity within a day, the status of the battery will constantly alternate between "partially charged" and "end of discharge". The Smartsolar 75/15 from Victron Energy (mpn scc075015060r) is a mppt solar charge controller with 15a max charge current for charging 12v and 24v batteries. Unlike the Bluesolar 75/15, the Smart version has integrated Bluetooth, which eliminates the need to purchase a Bluetooth dongel. In addition, a VE.Direct connection is still available for communication with other Victron devices such as the Color Control gx or the mppt Control.
The integrated Bluetooth in the SmartSolar series is the wireless solution to setup, monitor and update the controller using Apple and Android smartphones, tablets or other devices. Optional, the MPPT-WireBox-S 75 10/15 from Victron Energy is the ideal complement for your SmartSolar charge controller. It securely covers the cable inputs or connection terminals of the controller, protecting them from external influences and contact.

Especially in overcast conditions when light intensity is constantly changing, an ultra-fast mppt controller improves power output by up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers and by up to 10% compared to slower mppt controllers.
intelligent load output
Deep discharge of the battery can be prevented by connecting all loads to the load output. The load output disconnects the loads when the battery has been discharged to a preset voltage value. Alternatively, an algorithm for intelligent battery management can be selected: see BatteryLife.
The load output is short-circuit proof.

If the solar charge controller is not able to charge the battery to its full capacity within a day, the status of the battery will constantly alternate between "partially charged" and "end of discharge". This mode of operation (no regular full charging) will damage a lead-acid battery within a few weeks or months.
