PWM with Adjustment Options
Like all PWM controllers, the PWM-Pro is suitable for systems in which a 12V module charges a 12V battery or a 24V module charges a 24V battery. Unlike the PWM-Light, you can adjust the charging voltages and load output via the USB interface cable and the software, allowing you to adapt them to your battery type.
Compatible Accessories
With the PWM-Pro remote control, you can view the charging current and battery voltage without having to go to the controller. A temperature sensor adjusts the charging voltage based on the battery temperature. Both are available as compatible accessories for the PWM-Pro.
FAQ – BlueSolar PWM-Pro
What can the PWM-Pro do that the PWM-Light can’t?
You can configure and monitor it via remote control or a USB cable. The PWM-Light operates with fixed settings.
What size do I need?
Divide the module power by the battery voltage and allow for a little reserve. 200 Wp at 12V equals about 17 A—the 20-A controller is suitable for this.
Do I need a temperature sensor?
It’s useful if the battery is exposed to large temperature fluctuations, such as in a garden shed or in a vehicle. For lead-acid batteries, this extends their service life.
When should I use an MPPT controller instead?
When the module voltage is significantly higher than the battery voltage—for example, with a 60-cell module connected to a 12V battery. In that case, an MPPT controller extracts significantly more energy.
