The further development of the cell technology has reduced the system weight by almost 30% and the installation depth by 8 cm, which requires less floor space and results in a slimmer appearance. A highlight of the new storage units is their IP55 protection class, which allows them to be used outdoors. In addition, the new generation offers even more flexibility and scalability. Up to three battery towers can now be connected to form a system. In terms of charging and discharging capacity, byd remains true to its line, as each battery can also deliver its nominal capacity as power, i.e. 1c. This makes the new series ideal for on-grid, on-grid plus backup and off-grid systems. Modular battery system The hvs Battery-Box can be configured with 2 to 5 hvs battery modules arranged in a series connection. This allows a capacity of 5.1 to 12.8kWh to be achieved. To achieve the maximum capacity of 38.4kWh, up to 3 identical hvs towers can be connected directly in parallel. It is also possible to expand the system later by adding further hvs modules or parallel hvs towers.
