KEMO level indicator for water tanks
Remote measurement up to 100 m
Battery-powered level indicator for measuring the fill level of water tanks such as rainwater, septic tanks, or slurry tanks from distances of up to 100 m. The display is activated at the touch of a button via 10 LEDs in increments of 10% (display 10 - 100%). The device is designed for wall mounting (approx. 131 x 78 x 36 mm) and requires 2 "AA" batteries. The connection is made via screw terminals inside the device. You will need a standard signal cable (telephone cable, control cable, or similar) with at least 11 wires to connect your water tank to the level indicator (cable not included). You can also use cables with fewer wires, but then not all display levels can be used (e.g., with 8 wires, only 7 LED display levels can be operated, but this is often sufficient).
Extension for larger measurements
The normal application is to measure water levels in rain barrels, water tanks, etc. Customers have now asked us about the possibility of measuring the water level in very large containers, such as deep wells, with measuring distances of approx. 5 m between the individual measuring electrodes. Because the distance from the top electrode to the ground electrode is too great for such measurements to produce a clear display (e.g., at a water level of 40 m), we recommend in such cases that the ground electrode not be installed at the bottom of the well, but rather as a long pipe To install it as a long pipe parallel to the individual measuring electrodes.
