The VoyagerX Energy Manager from Kiwigrid (MPN: VoyagerX) is a compact and powerful device for modern energy management. It connects various energy devices—such as photovoltaic systems, battery storage units, wallboxes, heat pumps, and energy meters from different manufacturers—into a centrally controlled system. Unlike conventional gateways, it does not require complex mounting on a DIN rail inside the control cabinet; instead, it can be flexibly mounted directly on or next to the devices, even when space is limited. You can easily install it yourself, while qualified technicians can conveniently handle the configuration remotely. Thanks to numerous interfaces for wired and wireless connections—such as Ethernet, fieldbuses, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and LTE—as well as a powerful 4-core processor, the Energy Manager is ideally equipped for all current and future applications, including complex ones. At the same time, it serves as an interface between your energy systems and the KiwiOS Energy IoT platform, allowing you to control and monitor all devices centrally and efficiently.

What is a Home Energy Management System?

A home energy management system (HEMS) used in conjunction with the VoyagerX Energy Manager is a smart solution that allows you to centrally control and monitor all major energy-consuming devices in your home, such as your solar system, battery storage, heat pump, and electric vehicle charging station. The gateway connects these devices regardless of the manufacturer, collects all energy data in one place, and ensures that electricity is used optimally. This allows you to save energy, reduce costs, and easily manage your devices via the app or remotely.

The VoyagerX does not need to be mounted on a DIN rail in a control cabinet, which is usually crowded. There is also no need for complex cabling between the power equipment and the control cabinet. Instead, it can be flexibly mounted directly on the power equipment or on the wall. This allows power equipment to be placed in decentralized locations, which is particularly advantageous for existing systems or retrofits. Connecting the devices is straightforward, and configuration is particularly quick thanks to the user-friendly installation wizard.
