The Lapp ÖLFLEX CLASSIC 110 4G1 (MPN: 1119204) is a flexible connection and control cable with four conductors, including a ground conductor, a conductor cross-section of 1 mm², and a rated voltage of 300/500 V. It is suitable for wiring control circuits both within machines and across systems and can be used in fixed installations as well as in applications involving occasional movement without tensile stress. The gray PVC outer jacket is, among other things, oil-resistant in accordance with EN 50290-2-22 TM54 and resistant to acids and alkalis.
Flexible 4G1 control cable for machine and plant engineering
- 4G1 configuration: four conductors, each with a cross-sectional area of 1 mm², including a green-yellow protective conductor
- Rated voltage 300/500 V and test voltage of 4,000 V AC (conductor-to-conductor)
- Designed for fixed installation and occasional flexible movement without tensile stress
- Suitable for dry and damp environments with moderate mechanical stress
- Class 5 fine-stranded copper conductors for flexible cable routing
- Oil-resistant according to EN 50290-2-22 TM54
- Flame-retardant in accordance with IEC 60332-1-2 or EN 60332-1-2
- PVC outer jacket resistant to acids and alkalis
- VDE-registered under registration number 7030
- Approved for suitable energy chain/drag chain applications with travel distances up to 5 m and 0.2 to 1 million flexing cycles
- Suitable for torsional applications, such as those that may occur in the loop of wind turbines
- Space-saving design due to reduced wall thicknesses
Use in machines, systems, and control circuits
The cable is intended for use as a connection and control cable for numerous industrial wiring tasks. Typical areas of application include machine tools, plant engineering, mechanical engineering, conveyor systems, and assembly lines. Lapp also lists measurement and control technology in computer systems as an area of application for this cable series. The 4G1 version features three numbered black conductors and a green-yellow protective conductor. Thanks to its fine-stranded conductor construction made of bare copper, the cable is suitable not only for fixed installations but also for applications involving occasional movement, provided that no tensile stress is applied to the cable.
Flexible Installation and Specified Bending Radii
For fixed installations, the minimum bend radius is four times the outer diameter. For installations subject to occasional movement, a minimum of ten times the outer diameter must be maintained. With an outer diameter of 6.5 mm, the specified minimum values are 26 mm for fixed installations and 65 mm for installations subject to occasional movement. For continuous dynamic movement, Lapp specifies a minimum bend radius of 15 times the outer diameter.
PVC Construction for Industrial Environments
The conductors consist of fine-stranded, bare copper strands in accordance with IEC 60228 Class 5. Both the conductor insulation and the outer jacket are made of PVC; the individual conductors are stranded in layers. The outer jacket is gray. The cable is oil-resistant in accordance with EN 50290-2-22 TM54, chemically resistant, and flame-retardant. In addition, the cable has been tested for resistance to ECOLAB disinfectants and cleaning agents. However, it is not UV-resistant and is not halogen-free, which should be taken into account when selecting it for a specific installation environment.
