All systems in the BIG-L series are based on our 100W mono solar cells. Our BIG-L 100W / 101Ah / 12V solar system produces an average of 400 watt-hours in the summer. The included Offgridtec AGM battery can store a total of approximately 1,280 Wh of energy. With a 50% discharge rate, you can use 642 Wh of that daily while still enjoying a long battery life.
Details on Energy Production and Storage
This system produces a daily output of approximately 400 watt-hours for you in the summer. In the winter, it still averages 50–90 watt-hours. The reference location for this calculation was Hamburg; the further south the system is located, the higher the output can be estimated. On sunny days, the daily yield is, of course, well above average.
The included Steca PR 2020 charge controller meets even the highest standards and allows you to easily expand your system to up to 3 x 100W of module power. This ensures you can generate sufficient electricity even during the winter months. The included battery can store approximately 643 Wh of energy when fully charged—at a 50% discharge rate. Charge controllers from the Steca PR series feature a wide range of functions and an LCD display showing key statistics and configuration options. German instructions are included.

What can I power with this system?
The energy supplied is easily sufficient for small devices such as laptops, smartphones, 12V TVs, or simply lighting. The system can also power several such devices simultaneously for hours at a time. Even a small, energy-efficient 12V refrigerator could be used in such a system. With a 100W system, you can already do quite a bit in a hobby setting. If you purchase a 230V voltage converter to go with it, the possibilities are greatly expanded.
