Offgridtec® ETFE-AL 120W V2 Semi-Flexible 18.8V Solar Panel

The semi-flexible ETFE-AL 120W V2 solar panel from Offgridtec (MPN 018430) is based on a groundbreaking material composition (aluminum-ETFE) and is equipped with highly efficient mono-cells. The output voltage is 18.8 V DC, making it a very attractive option for a wide range of applications. In addition, it is walkable and significantly more slip-resistant than its predecessors, making it the perfect choice for marine and mobile applications. Power is supplied by state-of-the-art solar cells that, thanks to the latest technology, boast impressive cell efficiency and also stand out from the crowd with low power degradation rates.
This is the new and improved version of the popular ETFE-AL 120W solar panel (3-01-011050). In this new version, the solar modules are equipped with both improved solar cells and 11 busbars, which leads to improved light absorption and reduces the impact of partial shading.

ETFE layers

On the front of the module, two layered ETFE layers provide robust protection for the internal cells and ensure high light transmission for many years. Thanks to a new structure of the outermost layer, slip resistance has been significantly improved, and the module can be walked on without any issues. Over the long term, higher yields are achieved through better light transmission and significantly less clouding of the transparent ETFE front layers compared to conventional solar modules with different front coatings. The robust ETFE front provides strong protection against hail and makes the module completely resistant to saltwater. The integrated aluminum backsheet virtually eliminates the risk of cell cracks caused by improper handling or installation. The series is equipped with top-quality solar cells that offer a high cell efficiency of 22.3 percent.

11-Busbar Technology

Power management is handled by 11 busbars. With this advanced technology, power is managed via eleven electrical conductors (busbars). This enables reliable current flow, even at high current levels, while simultaneously minimizing heat loss. The efficient distribution of current ensures robust performance of the solar modules, leading to improved overall efficiency and higher yields.

Monocrystalline Solar Cells

Monocrystalline solar modules are an advanced type of photovoltaic module manufactured from a single crystal lattice. This crystalline structure enables higher efficiency in converting sunlight into electrical energy compared to other types of solar modules. Monocrystalline cells are characterized by their uniform structure, which allows for more efficient movement of charge carriers.
