Offgridtec PWM Pro Charge Controller 12V/24V 20A USB

The Offgridtec PWM 12/24-20 (MPN 1-01-010915) is a microprocessor-controlled solar charge controller with a maximum charging capacity of 20A and can charge both 12V and 24V batteries. It uses modern 3-stage PWM modulation to get the most out of your AGM, GEL, or lead-acid batteries. It is suitable for solar systems with a maximum PV output of 260W at 12V and 520W at 24V battery voltage.

During charging, important environmental parameters such as battery temperature (only with optional sensor) are used to calculate the optimum charging current. As soon as the battery voltage is in the full charge range, the charging voltage is gradually reduced. This prevents both gassing and heating of the batteries, thus maximizing their service life. Charging then continues at a reduced voltage until your batteries are actually "full." The result of this mode of operation is better, faster charging without deteriorating the health of your battery.

  integrated device and battery protection

1. PV short-circuit protection - Automatic disconnection in the event of a short circuit on the solar side.
2. PV reverse polarity protection - Automatically interrupts the connection in the event of incorrect polarity on the solar side.
3. overload protection - If the maximum permissible load current at the controller is exceeded by 5%, the controller automatically disconnects the existing load.
4. Overheating protection - If the cooling body temperature in the controller rises above 85°C, the device switches off automatically and switches back on again as soon as the temperature falls below 70°C.
5. Protection against short circuit at the load output - Automatic interruption of the connection in the event of a short circuit at the load output.
