The Pytes V16 Battery Base (MPN: 110409100255) is the matching floor mount for the V16 LiFePO4 battery. It supports the battery pack on four adjustable legs and is additionally secured to the wall via a clamping strip. This makes the mounting system ideal for installations where the battery is to be mounted on the floor without completely foregoing wall mounting to prevent tipping. In addition to the base mount, the set includes two mounting brackets, a clamping strip, and the necessary screws and anchors.

Floor-mounted installation with mechanical wall mounting

The mount provides a stable base for the Pytes V16 battery. Before installation, position the base mount at the intended installation site and level it using the four adjustable feet. Next, the two vertical mounting brackets are secured to the base with four M8×20 screws. The battery is then placed on the two brackets and secured with two M10×30 screws. This firmly connects the battery to the floor mount. However, the mounting system is not described as a fully freestanding solution without additional securing measures. An additional clamping strip is attached to the back of the battery and screwed to the wall. It serves to secure the floor-standing V16 against tipping and accidental movement.

Adjustable feet for horizontal alignment

The four feet under the base bracket can be adjusted individually. This allows the base to be leveled on the floor and the battery to be aligned vertically. A sufficiently load-bearing, level surface suitable for the weight of the battery system remains a prerequisite. The feet are intended to compensate for minor unevenness; they do not replace proper preparation of an unsuitable or insufficiently load-bearing floor.

Specifications for Screw Connections

The following tightening torques should be observed:

• M8×20 screws on both mounting brackets: 15 Nm
• M10×30 screws between the battery and mounting brackets: 25 Nm
• M10×60 screws for the terminal strip on the battery: 25 Nm
• M6×40 expansion anchors for wall mounting: 6 Nm

The specified torque values ensure proper and secure installation. Suitable tools, including a torque wrench of the appropriate size, are required for installation.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed in accordance with the Pytes installation manual and local regulations. Before beginning work, the battery must be turned off and disconnected from the inverter and any other power sources.

The installation location must:

• be able to safely support the total weight of the battery and mounting bracket,
• have a level and load-bearing floor,
• provide a suitable wall for additional terminal strip mounting,
• be free of standing water,
• be located at a sufficient distance from heat sources and flammable materials,
• be protected from unauthorized access by children and animals.

The Pytes V16 weighs approximately 130 kg. Accordingly, suitable lifting and transport equipment, as well as several qualified individuals, are required to position the storage tank.
