Improvements over the previous model, Pytes V5a
Compared to the Pytes V5 alpha, the V5a Plus offers even greater scalability: instead of a maximum of 430 kWh (14 modules), up to 491 kWh (96 modules) are now possible. In terms of peak charging/discharging current, the new model delivers up to 200 A for 15 seconds – the predecessor offered a maximum of 150 A. The integrated Wi-Fi function now enables remote monitoring and software updates as standard, while the heating mat ensures operation down to –18 °C (previously –10 °C). The V5a Plus also sets new standards in terms of its housing, with improved connection options and a sophisticated design, but remains compact at 45.34 kg.
Innovative heating mat: Carefree even in frost
The optional, integrated heating mat of the Pytes V5a Plus ensures that the battery works reliably even at outside temperatures as low as –18 °C. As soon as the cell temperature falls below 5 °C, the heating system activates automatically and ensures that charging processes and operation continue to run efficiently and safely. The heating mat only switches off again when the cell temperature reaches 15 °C – an added bonus in terms of safety and convenience, especially for installations in unheated rooms or outdoors.
Flexible scalability: Future-proof and tailored to your needs
With the Pytes V5a Plus, energy storage systems can be individually dimensioned – from a single battery in a single-family home to a large system with up to 96 modules and a total capacity of 491 kWh (in parallel connection). One tower can contain up to 16 battery units and can be expanded to up to 6 groups in one system (with separate hub). The modular concept makes it possible to easily expand the storage capacity at any time without having to convert the existing system at great expense.
Triple-layered security architecture
The integrated BMS continuously monitors all cell parameters (voltage, current, temperature, state of charge/SOC) and responds to irregularities (e.g., overvoltage/undervoltage, overcurrent, overtemperature) with targeted protective measures. The BMS controls the system via communication protocols and informs the inverter of any hazardous conditions. An electronic main switch and a physical fuse provide additional levels of protection (e.g., in the event of a short circuit or emergency shutdown).
Smart remote monitoring and easy integration
The V5a Plus can be seamlessly integrated into numerous energy management and inverter systems via CAN, RS485, and WiFi. The WiFi connection allows the battery status to be monitored in real time at any time and from anywhere, and firmware updates can be conveniently installed. Data visualization and alarm notifications ensure transparent control and simplify everyday monitoring.
