The SolaX ECC Gateway (MPN: ECC) is the central communication and control center for PV systems with micro inverters from the A1 and X1 micro series. It collects all relevant system and consumption data, transmits it reliably to the SolaXCloud, and thus forms the basis for remote monitoring, remote maintenance, and intelligent energy management. Thanks to integrated WiFi, LAN, and 4G connectivity, it can be used flexibly—even in locations without stable internet. In addition, the ECC performs important tasks such as load monitoring, export control, ripple control commands, and control of external devices via an integrated relay, ensuring that PV systems are operated efficiently and in compliance with the grid.

Relay for external devices

The ECC has an integrated switching relay that can be used to control external consumers such as heating elements, chargers, or other energy-intensive devices automatically or manually. The switching can be consumption-dependent, time-controlled, or in combination with PV generation. This allows surplus solar power to be used in a targeted manner, increasing self-consumption and reducing the load on the grid—without any additional control hardware.

4G connectivity (CAT-M1)

The ECC supports all common WiFi networks in the 2.4 GHz range – ideal for connecting to standard routers. In addition, an integrated 4G module compliant with the CAT-M1 standard is installed. This mobile communications standard is specially optimized for IoT (Internet of Things) devices: energy-efficient, strong connection, and long range, even with a weak network. This means that the ECC stays online even where no stable WiFi or LAN is available.

Firmware updates

The SolaX ECC Gateway enables local firmware updates to keep the software up to date. This means that new functions, performance improvements, and security updates can be installed quickly and easily—without interrupting operation. This keeps the system future-proof and allows it to adapt flexibly to new requirements or standards.

SolaXCloud

All operating data such as voltage, current, and power are automatically transferred to the SolaXCloud. This intelligent monitoring platform gives you access to real-time and historical data at any time, whether via PC, iOS, or Android device, and you can even make settings remotely if necessary.
