The SolaX ECC Gateway (MPN: ECC) is the central communication and control hub for PV systems equipped with microinverters from the A1 and X1 micro series. It collects all relevant system and consumption data, reliably transmits it to the SolaXCloud, and thus forms the basis for remote monitoring, remote maintenance, and smart energy management. Thanks to integrated Wi-Fi, LAN, and 4G connectivity, it can be used flexibly—even in locations without a stable internet connection. In addition, the ECC handles important tasks such as load monitoring, export control, load-shedding commands, and controlling external devices via an integrated relay—ensuring that PV systems operate efficiently and in compliance with grid regulations.

Relay for external devices

The ECC features an integrated switching relay that allows external loads—such as heating elements, chargers, or other energy-intensive devices—to be controlled automatically or manually. The switching can be based on consumption, time-controlled, or coordinated with PV generation. This enables the targeted use of excess solar power, increases self-consumption, and reduces the load on the grid—all without any additional control hardware.

4G Connectivity (CAT-M1)

The ECC supports all common Wi-Fi networks in the 2.4 GHz band—ideal for connecting to standard routers. In addition, an integrated 4G module compliant with the CAT-M1 standard is installed. This cellular standard is specifically optimized for IoT (Internet of Things) devices: it offers a strong connection and long range, even in areas with weak network coverage. This ensures the ECC remains online even where no stable Wi-Fi or LAN is available.

Firmware Updates

The SolaX ECC Gateway supports local firmware updates to keep the software up to date at all times. This allows new features, performance improvements, and security updates to be installed quickly and easily—without interrupting operation. As a result, the system remains future-proof and can flexibly adapt to new requirements or standards.

SolaXCloud

All operational data, such as voltage, current, and power, is automatically transmitted to the SolaXCloud. Through this intelligent monitoring platform, you have access to real-time and historical data at any time—whether via PC, iOS, or Android device—and can even adjust settings remotely if needed.
