Switching station for mains priority switching US-16 230V 16A 3600W
Versatile all-rounder
Offgridtec switching stations enable you to operate 230V consumers from two different voltage sources without interference. Typically, these are a voltage converter or the public power grid.
With the priority switch, you can determine which power source should be used preferentially – if this voltage source fails, the system switches to the backup power source.
The use of high-quality relays guarantees a particularly precise switching threshold on the one hand, and on the other hand, your voltage converter is optimally protected against backfeeding of external voltage.
Recommended uses
- Solar island systems
- Service and commercial vehicles

Application example 1 – Mains priority circuit
- The 230 V AC mains is connected to input AC2 (higher priority)
- This means that the battery is conserved and the inverter is simultaneously protected against external voltage.
- Only when AC2 loses power does input AC1 switch on the power supply via the battery and inverter.
Application example 2 – Inverter priority circuit
- The inverter is connected to input AC2 (higher priority).
- This means that the current is primarily drawn from the battery via the inverter (e.g., when using solar island systems).
- Only when the inverter switches off due to deep discharge protection is the 230 V AC mains connected via input AC1
