BMV 700 Battery Monitor
Precise Monitoring
The primary function of battery monitoring is to record the amp-hours consumed and the current state of charge of the battery. The ampere-hours are determined by integrating the current flowing into or out of the battery. At a constant current, integration corresponds to the multiplication of current and time. For example, a discharge current of 10A over 2 hours yields a value of 20Ah. Victron battery monitors are equipped with powerful microprocessors programmed for specific tasks.
Battery "fuel gauge," remaining capacity indicator, and much more
The remaining battery capacity depends on the amp-hours consumed, the discharge current, the
temperature, and the age of the battery. Complex software algorithms are required to account for all these
variables.
In addition to basic display options such as voltage, current, and consumed
amp-hours, the BMV-700 series also displays the state of charge, remaining runtime, and power consumption in
watts.
Easy Installation
All electrical connections are made to the current shunt via the PCB connector
. The shunt is connected to the monitor via a standard RJ12 telephone cable.
Scope of delivery includes: RJ12 cable (10 m) and battery cable with fuse (2 m); no additional
components required.
Also included are a separate front bezel for a square or round display; a safety ring
for rear mounting, and screws for front mounting.
Easy Programming
A quick installation menu and a detailed setup menu with scrolling assist the user when
configuring the various settings. Please refer to the manual for further details.
