The Victron Energy Blue Smart IP65 12/25 (MPN: BPC122531034) is a high-performance battery charger for compatible 12-V lead-acid and LiFePO4 batteries. It charges at a maximum of 25 A or, optionally, at a reduced charging current of 10 A and features a 1.5-meter-long power cord with a CEE-7/16 plug. The charging process and operating values can be monitored, and charging parameters can be configured via Bluetooth and the VictronConnect app. The charger is particularly suitable for larger starter and service batteries in RVs, boats, vehicles, and stationary 12-V systems.

For lead-acid and LiFePO4 batteries

The Blue Smart IP65 12/25 supports flooded lead-acid, AGM, gel, and LiFePO4 batteries. For lead-acid batteries, the Normal and High charging profiles are available, while LiFePO4 batteries are charged using a dedicated lithium-ion profile. The adaptive charging algorithm adjusts the charging process based on the battery’s current state and previous charging history.

For smaller battery capacities, the charging current can be reduced from 25 A to 10 A. The permissible charging parameters and temperature limits specified by the respective battery manufacturer must be observed. LiFePO4 batteries must not be charged with this charger when the battery temperature is below 0 °C.

Bluetooth and VictronConnect

Via Bluetooth and the VictronConnect app, you can monitor the state of charge, voltage, current, and charging history, among other things. You can also select charging profiles, configure parameters, and perform firmware updates. An additional power supply mode allows the unit to be used as a constant DC power supply with or without a connected battery.

CEE-7/16 Mains Connection and Flexible Battery Connection

This version of the Blue Smart IP65 12/25 features a 1.5 m power cord with a CEE-7/16 plug. Both a cable with battery terminals and a cable with M8 ring terminals are included for connecting to the battery. The 1.5 m long battery cable has a cross-sectional area of 6 mm². The charger operates fanless using natural convection and is protected against dust and water jets with an IP65 rating.
