The Blue Smart IP65 12/15 12V 230V battery charger (BPC121532064R) is the latest professional battery charger from Victron Energy with built-in Bluetooth. It is designed to charge a wide variety of 12V batteries and delivers a maximum charging current of 15A. Together with the free VictronConnect app, you can easily and intelligently monitor your battery charger’s activity via your smartphone, tablet, or computer—and even configure it to a certain extent.

Ultra-high-efficiency “green” battery charger

With an efficiency of up to 95%, these chargers generate three to four times less heat than the industry standard. And, once the battery is fully charged, power consumption drops to 0.5 watts—five to ten times better than the industry standard.

Reconditioning

A lead-acid battery that has not been sufficiently charged or has been left in a discharged state for days or weeks will see its performance degrade due to sulfation. Provided the process is stopped in time, sulfation can be partially reversed by charging the battery with a low current until a higher voltage is reached.

Function for restoring fully discharged batteries

Most chargers with reverse polarity protection do not recognize a battery that has been discharged to zero volts or nearly zero volts and therefore do not recharge it. The Blue Power charger, however, attempts to recharge a fully discharged battery with a low current and resumes the normal charging process once sufficient voltage has been built up across the battery terminals.
