The Lithium NG battery 25.6V/200Ah from Victron Energy (MPN BAT524120620) is a powerful, latest-generation LiFePO4 battery that impresses with its high efficiency and long service life. It can be flexibly integrated into various energy systems and supports both series and parallel connection or a combination of both variants. The integrated shunt transmits important battery data to the BMS in order to precisely calculate the state of charge and issue specific warnings. An outstanding feature is the increased ingress protection (IP rating), which effectively seals the battery against dust and protects it from low-pressure water jets, making it ideal for demanding environments. In addition, the battery impresses with a low self-discharge rate of maximum 2% per month, which significantly increases its overall performance, longevity, and reliability.

Setup and control with VictronConnect, GX device, or VRM portal

All battery parameters are managed fully automatically by the BMS. The system automatically detects the system voltage and the number of batteries, regardless of whether they are operated in parallel, series, or series/parallel connection. The Lynx Smart BMS (currently available in NG 500 A / 1000 A versions) is mandatory and must be purchased separately.

Monitoring and control is done via the VictronConnect app (Bluetooth is integrated in all BMS models), a GX communication center, or the VRM portal. In addition, the system enables real-time display of battery parameters such as cell status, voltages, currents, and temperatures. Firmware updates for the battery are performed automatically via the BMS.

Tasks of the BMS:

1. Trigger a pre-alarm when the voltage of a battery cell falls below 3.0 V.
2. Disconnect or switch off the load as soon as the voltage of a battery cell falls below 2.8 V.
3. Interrupt the charging process if the voltage of a battery cell exceeds 3.6 V or the temperature is outside the permissible range (too high or too low).
