The Multiplus 12/3000/120-16 from Victron Energy (MPN PMP123020001) is a combination device consisting of a 12V 2400W sine wave inverter and a battery charger. The permanently integrated battery charger delivers an impressive 120A, which means that even large batteries can be fully charged quickly when shore power is available. The 12V sine wave voltage converter built into the Multiplus converts the power from your battery into 230V AC.

Thanks to the true sine wave, the power quality is also perfectly suited for sensitive electronic devices. In addition to the two integrated device types, a lightning-fast transfer switch is also installed, which can be used to implement numerous grid-connected solutions. For system integration, a COM port is available in addition to the VE.Bus port, enabling virtually unlimited networking of the Multiplus.

The MultiPlus is a very powerful battery charger. It therefore draws a lot of current from the generator or shore power supply (almost 10A per 5kVA Multi at 230 VAC). The Multi Control remote control panel can be used to set the maximum mains or generator current that can be drawn. The MultiPlus then takes other connected AC consumers into account and only uses the power that is "left over" for charging. This prevents the generator or shore power connection from being overloaded.
