The Victron Energy Phoenix Inverter 24/800 230V VE.Direct IEC (MPN: PIN241801100) is an inverter for 24-V battery systems designed to power 230-V loads. The unit provides 800 VA of continuous output power, or 650 W of continuous power at 25 °C, and can briefly reach a peak power of up to 1,500 W. 230 V power supply from a 24 V battery system

The Phoenix Inverter converts the DC voltage of a 24-V battery system into 230 V AC voltage. At 25 °C, the model continuously delivers 800 VA or 650 W. At 40 °C, the specified continuous power is 560 W. Up to 1,500 W can be provided for short periods.

The increased peak power is particularly relevant for loads with high inrush current requirements. This makes the inverter suitable, for example, for mobile and stationary applications in which standard 230-V loads are to be powered from a battery.

VE.Direct for Configuration and Monitoring

The Phoenix Inverter can be configured and integrated into the Victron communication environment via the built-in VE.Direct interface. Among other things, this allows you to adjust the output voltage and frequency, as well as various thresholds for alarms, shutdown, and restart in the event of low battery voltage.

In addition, operating parameters such as input and output voltage, load, and alarm messages can be monitored. Appropriate VE.Direct accessories can be used to connect to other devices.

ECO Mode for Reduced Self-Consumption

In ECO mode, the inverter switches to energy-saving standby mode when the connected load is low. At regular intervals, the device checks whether a sufficiently high load is present again and then switches on automatically.

For the Phoenix Inverter 24/800, the power consumption without a load is 7 W. In ECO mode, this value is reduced to 1.5 W. This makes the feature particularly suitable for battery-based systems where a 230-V load is not continuously active.

Integrated Protection Features

The Phoenix Inverter features several protection mechanisms to ensure reliable operation. These include protection against output short circuits and overloads, as well as protection against excessively high or low battery voltage. Additionally, the device monitors temperature and excessive DC ripple voltage.

The permissible operating temperature range is from -40 to +65 °C. Above 25 °C, the available output power is reduced accordingly. Heat dissipation is provided by a fan.

IEC-320 Output and Remote Control
