The Offgridtec MPPT Pro-Duo (MPN 1-01-011200) is an innovative high-end solar controller that was essentially designed for mobile applications. A variety of different board battery types can be charged via the primary charging output (BATT-1). The battery spectrum ranges from AGM, GEL and liquid lead acid to state-of-the-art LiFePO4 and Li-NiCoMn battery systems. The secondary battery charge output (BATT-2) is designed for a starter battery that is at the same voltage level as BATT-1. Intelligent energy saver
If there is no manual operation for an extended period of time and charging conditions are not present, the MPPT-Pro Duo will switch to energy saving mode, reducing the unit's energy consumption to a minimum. This behaviour also reduces wear and tear on the unit, which is reflected in a significantly longer service life. The system parameters are displayed and set directly via the intuitive control panel on the controller or via the MT11 remote control (accessory).
System communication and protection functions

The connection kit included in the scope of delivery offers everything needed for a quick start-up of the mobile solar set. Each fsp-2 has a 6.0m connection cable, which is equipped with a high-quality Anderson connector at the end. Matching to this, a second 0.5m connection cable is included, which is screwed directly to the solar input of the charge controller, and is also equipped with an Anderson connector on the other side. So you can quickly connect or disconnect the controller at any time via the Anderson connectors without having to unscrew the cables from the charge controller.
For the connection of the charge controller to your battery, a 1 meter long plug & play connection cable is also included. This is screwed to the battery input of the controller and is equipped with universal crocodile clips on the battery side, which can be conveniently connected to all common battery terminals. The Victron Shunt 2000A - 50mV (MPN SHU202050200) is needed for current measurement devices with analogue or digital displays as these are normally realized by a measuremnt of a very small voltage on the shunt. In the case of Victron Shunts 1000 - 6000A this is a voltage of 50mV. Generally spoken: The smaller the measuring voltage on the shunt is the smaller are influences on the rest of the system's circuit. 50mV provide an excellent outcome.
For this purpose the shunt is integrated into the conduction where current has to be measured. The small voltage dropping at this resistor is evaluated by a measuring device - like the Victron BMV 700 battery monitor - which then displays the current amperage.
Please check the manual of your display, battery monitor, etc... to find out if a shunt is needed.
