Votronic 2071 Switch Unit 40 12V / 24V Battery Main Switch
The VOTRONIC Switch Unit 40 serves as the main on/off switch for your 12/24-volt electrical system and can be operated with its own switch.
VOTRONIC Switch Unit 40 operates on the basis of a bistable power relay. Its power consumption is extremely low. It is particularly suitable as a remote-controlled main switch or as a load relay that is to remain switched on for a long time. The current carrying capacity is 40 A.
Switch Unit 40 can be remotely controlled by a simple switch (1-pole ON/OFF). The switch is only subjected to a very low load (0.002 A), so that even a miniature version is sufficient.
In addition, the consumers can also be switched on or off manually at the relay via an EMERGENCY ON function (EMERGENCY switch).
When the switch is set to "OFF," the entire electronics are completely shut down; the already very low power consumption of the Switch Unit 40 is then eliminated entirely.
