Proper cable routing is not just a matter of tidiness, but rather a compelling necessity to ensure safety on board. The frequently encountered tangle of cables, which starts at the battery and continues behind the furniture walls, makes it difficult to find the cause of a fault and often poses a serious danger.

Small, indispensable helpers from the VOTRONIC peripheral device range provide a remedy here, ensuring, among other things, the proper distribution and protection of the battery positive side and safe grounding conditions.

Positive Distributor 8 Product features

Powerful positive distributor with six fused outputs of different strengths.

The positive lead from the battery is connected to a solid screw block with a cable lug (cable cross-section 16 mm², total current capacity max. 96 A).

Distribution is to:

Connection 1
Screw terminal with cable lug (16 mm²) and 40 A strip fuse, 50 A or 60 A, with LED display, as main fuse or for larger consumers such as inverters up to 12 V / 600 W or 24 V / 1200 W, powerful chargers, etc.

Connection 2
Screw terminal 6 mm² with flat plug fuse 30 A, e.g. for medium consumers or chargers. This branch can be supplied separately from the main circuit via an internal bridge or, optionally, separately from the other circuits via a second screw terminal 6 mm².

Connection 3
Screw terminals with large clamping range (4 mm², max. 20 A) and fuse holders for standard FKS fuses in strengths from 1 A to 20 A; the scope of delivery includes strengths of 1 x 30 A, 2 x 15 A, and 2 x 10 A.

The cover with cable guide comb ensures that the cables are held securely in place and look neat. The indicator LED for the strip fuse of connection 1 is visible even when the distributor housing is attached. Labeling fields on the housing enable the plug-in fuses to be reliably assigned.
