The VOTRONIC Crash Sensor CS1 is used for emergency shutdown of VOTRONIC inverters or for controlling peripheral devices such as the VOTRONIC Switch Unit. The crash sensor is looped between the inverter and the remote control and automatically switches it off in the event of an accident. This meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0100-717, which stipulates automatic emergency shutdown of power generation equipment that carries voltage greater than low voltage. When operated on the inverter, the crash sensor meets the requirements of DIN EN 13976 due to its low current consumption of less than 3 mA.

Initialization

For automatic position detection, the crash sensor must be initialized once during initial commissioning. To do this, set the trimmer to the "Setup" position. Then connect the
Connection to the power supply (connection to inverter or "External +"). The LED on the crash sensor will now flash red/green alternately. In this case, check the installation position of the sensor and repeat the process. Once the crash sensor has been successfully programmed, the trimmer must be set to the middle position. The device is now in normal operation. Operating voltage is applied to the "External On/Off" terminal and the LED flashes green.
