The fully automatic battery charger VAC 1224-16 (MPN 0534) from Votronic's "VAC-Station" series is designed in accordance with DIN 14679 for direct supply of charging current to fire trucks and emergency vehicles. The device automatically calculates the voltage losses in the vehicle's internal wiring, the charging plug, and the 4 m Ölflex charging cable to ensure precise compliance with the battery charging voltages. The charger is characterized by its compact design, low weight, and full charging power even with large deviations in the mains supply. In addition, it has 6 adjustable charging programs and is designed for 12V/24V battery voltage. The intelligent microprocessor charge control with IU1oU2oU3 charge characteristics and dynamic charge time calculation automatically ensures fast and gentle full charging and subsequent 100% charge retention of the connected batteries from any initial state of charge.

Features

The charger ensures a charging voltage without peaks and regulates it in such a way that overcharging of the batteries is impossible. It offers fully automatic continuous operation, so that the charger can be connected to the battery continuously to keep it fully charged. In the event of a power failure, the battery is protected by a safety switch and is not discharged.

In addition, the charger automatically performs battery regeneration twice a week during downtime to prevent harmful acid stratification. Voltage losses on the charging cables are automatically compensated for by the charging cable compensation. A built-in vehicle electrical system filter enables trouble-free parallel operation with gasoline generators, alternators, generators, etc. on one battery.
