The Gemini 2.0 from go-e (MPN: CH-05-22-51) is a smart, stationary wallbox with a charging capacity of 22 kW and an integrated SIM card. The charging station is suitable for installation at home or, for example, in a company parking lot. It enables simple, fast, and safe charging of electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids. With the go-e app and via the API, you can take advantage of numerous additional convenience features. For example, you can conveniently control and monitor the charging process intelligently from anywhere. Thanks to the built-in SIM card, the go-e Charger offers all the great features of the previous Gemini series—and now even without a Wi-Fi connection. Charge your electric car—no matter which one

The charger is quick and easy to install, depending on your home’s electrical setup. Attach the wall mounting plate, hang the wallbox, and connect it to the appropriate power source. Charging is just as simple as charging a smartphone. Plug in the Type 2 cable, and the go-e Charger automatically charges at the power level requested by your car. If needed, you can easily adjust the charging current using the push button directly on the device or via your app. Your electrician can connect it seamlessly to an existing junction box.

Different Charging Modes

Starting the charging process immediately upon arrival is convenient, but not always the most cost-effective option. With the go-e charging station and its smart charging timer function, you can schedule your charging sessions for times when electricity is abundant. This reduces the load on the power grid and, depending on your electricity rate plan, can also save you money.

Your Safety and Protection Features

If necessary, the charging station automatically reduces the current flow (static/dynamic load management—only with the go-e controller) or shuts down completely in the event of fault currents. This protects your car, your home’s electrical system, and the wallbox itself from damage. It features a DC protection module that shields your home’s electrical system from potential DC fault currents that could be caused by an electric car. On the building side, a Type A ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) and a circuit breaker should be installed. RFID chips are especially convenient when multiple people use the charger, as the amount of electricity charged is tracked separately for each user. This way, you always have a clear overview and can share the go-e Charger with family or friends without any worries.

Wi-Fi problems? There’s another way

With this charging station, you can relax—the reliable cellular connection is guaranteed by the built-in SIM card. You’ll receive at least 5 years of free cellular service and can extend this connection for just 12 euros per year (including VAT). See the data sheet for details. If you also use a go-e Controller, seamless integration between the two devices is ensured. This allows you to easily take advantage of load management, PV surplus charging, and flexible, cost-effective electricity rates. Only the MQTT and Modbus TCP protocols still require a Wi-Fi connection due to the high data volume and technical requirements, respectively.

Full Control with the App

You can also perform all charging operations without the app. The LED ring on the Wallbox shows you the current charging status. But it’s even more convenient to check the status via the go-e Charger app, which also lets you adjust all basic and comfort settings as needed. Thanks to the built-in electricity meter, you can always keep track of the amount of electricity charged. If the wallbox is connected to a Wi-Fi network or has an active cellular connection, you can even control and monitor the device from the comfort of your couch.
