The charging process is just as simple as charging a smartphone: Plug in the Type 2 cable, and the charging station automatically begins charging at the power level required by your car. If necessary, you can adjust the charging current using the black push button on the device itself or via the app.

Starting the charging process immediately upon arrival is convenient, but it’s not always the most cost-effective option. With the go-e charging station and its smart charging timer feature, you can schedule your charging sessions for times when electricity is abundant. This reduces the strain on the power grid and, depending on your electricity rate plan, can also save you money.

Your Safety and Protection Features

The wallbox’s advanced safety features let you relax while your car charges reliably. The charging station adjusts the current flow as needed (static/dynamic load management—with the go-e controller) or automatically shuts off in the event of fault currents. RFID chips are especially convenient when multiple people use the charger, as the amount of electricity charged is tracked separately for each user. Wi-Fi problems? There’s another way

With this charging station, you can stay completely relaxed, as the reliable cellular connection is guaranteed by the built-in SIM card. You’ll receive at least 5 years of free cellular service and can extend this connection for just 12 euros per year (including tax). See the data sheet for details. If you also use a go-e Controller, seamless integration between the two devices is ensured. This allows you to easily take advantage of load management, PV surplus charging, and flexible, cost-effective electricity rates. Only the MQTT and Modbus TCP protocols still require a Wi-Fi connection due to the high data volume and technical requirements, respectively.

Full Control with the App

You can perform all charging operations even without the app. The LED ring on the wallbox shows you the current charging status. But… It’s even more convenient to check the status via the go-e Charger app, which also lets you adjust all basic and comfort settings as needed. Thanks to the built-in electricity meter, you can always keep an eye on the amount of electricity charged. If the wallbox is connected to a Wi-Fi network, you can even control and monitor the device from the comfort of your couch.
