Growatt MOD 5KTL3-HU 5 kW 3-Phase Hybrid Inverter

The Growatt MOD 5000KTL3-HU 5 kW is a 3-phase hybrid inverter for PV and energy storage systems. With a rated AC power output of 5,000 W, up to 10,000 W of PV power, and two independent MPP trackers, it is suitable for high-power 3-phase systems. The inverter is “Battery Ready” for a compatible Growatt APX HV battery system with BMS P2 and features an integrated backup function.

Two MPP trackers for flexible PV configuration

The MOD 5000KTL3-HU features two independent MPP trackers and supports a PV power output of up to 10,000 W. This allows, for example, PV strings with different orientations to be controlled separately. The MPPT voltage range extends from 140 to 1,000 V, with a maximum input current of 20 A per MPP tracker.

Battery Ready for Growatt APX HV

For integrating a battery storage system, the inverter is compatible with the Growatt APX HV battery system featuring BMS P2. The battery voltage range is 600 to 980 V. Up to 15,000 W of charging power and 5,000 W of discharging power are available.

Integrated Backup Function

The backup function is already integrated into the inverter, so no separate backup box is required for the intended emergency power operation. If the overall system is configured appropriately, it can switch to the backup power supply in the event of a grid outage. The available power depends on the battery, the loads, and the design of the overall system.

Monitoring and System Integration

The inverter can be integrated into the Growatt monitoring environment and supports export limitation. Depending on the desired monitoring solution, appropriate Growatt accessories such as the ShineWiLan-X2 can be used for communication. System configuration is also supported via ShineTools with “Quick Site Setup.”
