Kemo m102a secondary battery charger 6 - 24 v/dc
The Kemo m102a secondary battery charger is suitable for lead batteries from 6-24 v/dc. With this battery switch 2 batteries are charged separately from each other at one charging current source (kfz alternator, Solaranlagen, wind turbines, chargers, etc.). For charging currents up to max. 10a (with cooling 20a). The charging current is distributed in such a way that an empty battery is charged more than an almost full battery, ideal for motor caravans, if with one battery TV, radio, etc.. The second battery must remain full to start the engine. Or for weekend houses, if a battery for the alarm system must not be drained. A compensating current of approx. 0.005a can flow between the two batteries (in normal operation at 12v). This serves to enable a possibly upstream solar controller the possibly required voltage control of the batteries.

Assembly instructions:
Depending on the load, the module may heat up more or less. The heat arises at the aluminum plate at the bottom of the module and must be cooled according to the installation instructions under certain circumstances by mounting it on a cooling surface. It is important that the module is mounted with 4 screws m3 or sheet metal screws 2.9 mm flat on a cooling flat cooling plate. This can also be the rear wall of a metal housing. It is important that the aluminum underside of the module does not warp! The screw heads must rest on the sheet metal of the module and not on the plastic edge of the module! The module must also not warp during installation (if the surface is not flat). The reason: On the inside of the aluminum bottom of the module are soldered over a thin insulating layer directly the electronic SMD components and if the aluminum bottom of the module warps, the soldering points loosen and the module becomes defective.
