The Offgridtec MPPT Pro-Duo (MPN 1-01-011200) is an innovative high-end solar controller that was essentially designed for mobile applications. A variety of different board battery types can be charged via the primary charging output (BATT-1). The battery spectrum ranges from AGM, GEL and liquid lead acid to state-of-the-art LiFePO4 and Li-NiCoMn battery systems. The secondary battery charge output (BATT-2) is designed for a starter battery that is at the same voltage level as BATT-1. Intelligent energy saver
If there is no manual operation for an extended period of time and charging conditions are not present, the MPPT-Pro Duo will switch to energy saving mode, reducing the unit's energy consumption to a minimum. This behaviour also reduces wear and tear on the unit, which is reflected in a significantly longer service life. The system parameters are displayed and set directly via the intuitive control panel on the controller or via the MT11 remote control (accessory).
System communication and protection functions

The connection kit included in the scope of delivery offers everything needed for a quick start-up of the mobile solar set. Each fsp-2 has a 6.0m connection cable, which is equipped with a high-quality Anderson connector at the end. Matching to this, a second 0.5m connection cable is included, which is screwed directly to the solar input of the charge controller, and is also equipped with an Anderson connector on the other side. So you can quickly connect or disconnect the controller at any time via the Anderson connectors without having to unscrew the cables from the charge controller.
For the connection of the charge controller to your battery, a 1 meter long plug & play connection cable is also included. This is screwed to the battery input of the controller and is equipped with universal crocodile clips on the battery side, which can be conveniently connected to all common battery terminals. The Offgridtec 2-fold junction sockets incl. cable extension (mpn 010337) are compatible with solar connectors and are used to connect 2 modules in parallel. The design is identical to the 2-way junction boxes but these junction sockets have a cable extension. (Article total length: approx. 34cm)

What does parallel connection mean?
In parallel connection, the positive and negative wires are bundled at one output. Through this circuit the current increases and the voltage remains the same.
Practical example: You want to connect 3 pieces of 100w (Imp=5,56A Vmp=17,8V) solar modules to a charge controller with 20a and a max. input voltage of 30v/dc. In order not to exceed the allowed input voltage, you must wire the modules in parallel. So plus to plus and minus to minus.
If you now measure the string, you should be able to measure the following values under ideal lighting conditions: Imp=16.68A and Vmp=17.8V. So your solar configuration fits perfectly to the charge controller.
