Offgridtec Backup Kit 7kWh Pylontech LiFePO4 Battery - Victron MultiPlus II 48/5000 Inverter 1-Phase

Offgridtec’s backup systems are ideal for emergency power supply or for expanding an existing solar system. In addition to lithium-ion batteries from Pylontech, the systems include a compatible MultiPlus-II inverter and a Cerbo GX MK2 from Victron Energy for system monitoring. This allows you to ensure your power supply even in the event of a power outage.

Thanks to the UPS function, the MultiPlus remains powered on even during a grid failure and takes over powering the connected loads. The switchover occurs so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices is guaranteed.

The Multiplus device combination is preconfigured to be compatible with Pylontech batteries.

Expanded use of your backup system

To set up an ESS (Energy Storage System) with the backup system, one energy meter with a connection cable is required:

• Victron VM-3P75CT Energy Meter 3-phase power meter 75A/phase
• 5m Victron RJ45 UTP cable

With this energy meter, you can perform a grid-parallel installation and subsequently monitor your energy consumption or control your energy costs. Thanks to phase compensation, you can also operate the 3-phase meter for 1-phase systems. This makes seamless integration of decentralized energy sources and consumers into the existing power grid a breeze.

To ensure an ESS can be included in the pre-configuration, the meter must be purchased in advance or as part of the system!

The storage solution – Pylontech US3000C batteries

The US3000C storage unit is a latest-generation lithium battery. It was specifically designed to meet the high demands placed on backup storage. Thanks to state-of-the-art technology, maximum safety and a long service life are guaranteed even with regular deep discharges.

The Multiplus-II is a high-end device combination from Victron Energy, consisting of a 48V battery charger, inverter, and transfer switch. This combination integrates the classic Multiplus components with an external current sensor and built-in anti-islanding function. This extends the PowerControl and PowerAssist functions to 50A and broadens the potential application range to include energy storage system applications. The Multiplus is therefore ideal for use as a backup device in both grid-connected and off-grid power supply systems.
