AGM technology for a reliable power supply
The battery uses proven AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) technology. In this design, the electrolyte is completely bound within a glass fiber mat, allowing the battery to operate leak-proof and eliminating the need for regular maintenance. This design also reduces self-discharge and enables reliable operation both during recurring charge and discharge cycles and in standby mode. Thanks to its robust construction, the battery is particularly well-suited for applications that require a reliable power supply over long periods of time.
Suitable for a Wide Range of Applications
With its compact design and 12V system voltage, the AGM battery is highly versatile. Typical applications include:
- Solar systems and small off-grid systems
- Uninterruptible power supplies (UPS)
- Emergency power supplies
- Alarm and security systems
- Telecommunications systems
- Communication systems
- DC power supplies
- Automatically Controlled Systems
Suitable for cyclic operation and standby
The Offgridtec AGM 7Ah was developed for both regularly recurring charge and discharge cycles and for continuous standby operation. For cyclic use, the manufacturer recommends a charging voltage of 14.40 to 15.00 V with a temperature compensation of -30 mV/°C. In standby mode, the recommended float charge voltage is between 13.60 and 13.80 V at -20 mV/°C. The maximum recommended charge current is 2.16 A.
Robust Construction and Consistent Performance
The battery features a durable ABS casing. Inside, it uses lead dioxide and lead plates with glass fiber separators, as well as sulfuric acid as the electrolyte. According to the manufacturer, regular quality checks and a special grid alloy ensure consistent performance.

Battery Regulations
You are legally required to return batteries. After use, you can return them to our store or to a local municipal collection point.
Important Note According to the Battery Ordinance
Regulation on the Take-Back and Disposal of Used Batteries. Batteries and rechargeable batteries do not belong in household trash. Consumers are legally required to return used batteries. Returns can be made at Offgridtec.com or at the municipality’s public collection points.
Pursuant to Section 10 of the Battery Act, the seller must collect a deposit of 7.50 euros, including sales tax, if the end consumer does not have a used starter battery at the time of purchase. If the seller does not collect a deposit—because the used battery was disposed of properly or an old-for-new exchange took place—this amount is also not deductible from the purchase price.
