The Offgridtec Solar-Direct solar system (MPN: 014535) combines four Luxen bifacial full-black glass-glass modules with a total output of 1,800 Wp and the Hoymiles HMS-1600-4T microinverter with 1,600 VA output power. Four independent MPP trackers allow for separate control of the connected solar modules. The set is available with different AC connection cable lengths and mounting systems, as well as without a mounting bracket. The exact scope of delivery depends on the selected variant. The grid connection must be performed by a licensed electrician.

How does the solar system work?

The four solar modules generate direct current, which the Hoymiles microinverter converts into grid-compliant alternating current and feeds into the single-phase home electrical system. Each solar module is connected to a separate input on the inverter. Thanks to the four separate MPP trackers, the modules are controlled independently of one another, so that different orientations or temporary shading of individual modules have less of an impact on the remaining modules.

Luxen Solar 450W Luxneri Series N5 Full Black Bifacial

The Luxen LNDX-450ND combines N-type TOPCon cells with a bifacial glass-on-glass design. In addition to the front side, the rear side of the module can also use incident light to generate electricity. The potential additional yield depends on the mounting height, surface, orientation, and lighting conditions at the installation site. The Full Black design ensures a uniform appearance.

Hoymiles HMS-1600-4T Microinverter

The Hoymiles HMS-1600-4T offers four solar module inputs, each with its own MPP tracker, and provides up to 1,600 VA of output power. The IP67-rated enclosure and fanless passive cooling allow for protected installation beneath the solar modules.

The inverter can be connected to a compatible Hoymiles DTU via the Sub-1G wireless interface. This allows operating data to be transmitted to the S-Miles Cloud and analyzed at the module level. A DTU is included only if it is explicitly listed as part of the package for the selected model.

Selectable mounting systems

Depending on the variant, the Solar-Direct solar system is available with a mounting kit for balcony railings, flat roofs, plain-tile roofs, tiled roofs, as well as corrugated fiber-cement and sheet metal roofs, or without a mounting bracket. The selected product variant determines the configuration. The suitability of the mounting system for the specific installation site, as well as the structural requirements—including wind and snow loads—must be verified prior to installation.

Connecting the Solar System

The Solar-Direct solar system has a nominal PV power output of 1,800 Wp and a nominal inverter output of 1,600 VA. Due to this power rating, the system is not intended for independent commissioning by end customers via a standard household outlet.

Important Installation Note: Connection to the home electrical system and commissioning must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the applicable technical connection requirements and electrical regulations. The electrician must inspect the existing electrical installation and provide a suitable, standards-compliant connection solution.

The included AC connection cable is intended for the proper integration of the inverter. The cable length depends on the selected product variant.
