Clear system monitoring

Unlike the Steca PRS series, the PR 3030 features a graphical LCD display that shows all key operating data directly on the unit. In addition to the battery’s state of charge, the display can show battery voltage, module current, charging current, load current, and the amp-hours charged and discharged, among other things. This allows you to monitor the status of the entire off-grid system at any time without using additional measuring devices.

PWM Charging Technology for Lead-Acid Batteries

The charge controller uses PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) charging control. The charging process is controlled based on the battery’s state to ensure the gentlest and most reliable charging possible. It supports open-type lead-acid batteries as well as sealed AGM and gel batteries. The appropriate battery type can be selected directly on the controller, which automatically applies the corresponding charging characteristics.

Intelligent Load Control and Battery Protection

In addition to battery charging, the controller also supplies power to connected 12 V or 24 V loads via the integrated load output. The intelligent load control protects the battery from harmful deep discharge by automatically shutting off loads when the battery charge level is critical and reconnecting them once the battery is sufficiently charged. In addition, various operating modes are available for load control. These include continuous load supply, an evening light function, and a morning light function, which allow, for example, lighting to be automatically switched on and off according to the time of day.
