The EasySolar II GX 48/5000/70-50 MPPT 250/100 from Victron Energy (MPN PMP482507010) is a high-end stand-alone solar solution that combines the most important components of a good solar system: an MPPT solar charge controller, an inverter/charger and AC distribution. Installation of the unit is simple and little wiring is required, keeping installation costs to a minimum.

Color Control-Panel
The panel gives priority to charging the battery through the MPPT charge controller. It can also be connected to the internet, allowing remote monitoring (VRM website) and remote control.
AC distribution
With its PowerAssist function, the Multi can add its rated power (e.g. 3000 / 230 = 13 A) to the output at times of high power demand. Together with a maximum input current of 32 A, this means that the output can deliver up to 32 + 13 = 45 A. A residual current circuit breaker and a fuse or circuit breaker rated to carry the expected load must be connected in series with the output; the cable cross-section must be sized accordingly.
AC-Out-2 There is a second output, but it switches off its loads in case of battery operation. Devices are connected to these terminals that may only function when an AC voltage is applied to AC-In-1, e.g. an electric boiler or an air conditioner. The load at AC-Out-2 is switched off immediately when the inverter/charger switches to battery mode. When the AC voltage becomes available at AC-In-1, the load at AC-Out-2 is reconnected with a delay of approx. 2 minutes. This allows a generator to stabilise.
PowerAssist
The unique PowerAssist technology prevents overloading of the mains or generator power supply by adding additional power via the inverter whenever necessary.
