Victron Energy Nucleo GX Communication Hub for VRM and VictronConnect

The Victron Nucleo GX (MPN: BPP900453100) is a compact communication hub for monitoring and controlling compatible Victron energy systems. The powerful GX platform consolidates system data and allows access via the VRM portal, VictronConnect, or a web browser. Two VE.Direct ports, two VE.Can interfaces, as well as Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and three USB-A ports make the device particularly well-suited for VE.Can-based installations such as RS systems, as well as for energy, off-grid, and marine applications.

Monitor system data locally and remotely

The communication module runs on Venus OS and displays data from connected inverters/chargers, solar charge controllers, DC-DC chargers, batteries, and other compatible components in a single user interface. Depending on the connected devices, you can monitor, for example, battery status, energy flows, PV generation, grid draw, and consumption. The system can be accessed via the Victron Remote Management Portal using an internet connection. There, users can view current system values, historical data, notifications, and the Remote Console, among other features. Within the local network, access is available via a web browser, VictronConnect, or the integrated Wi-Fi access point.

Direct Interfaces and Expansion via USB

For compatible devices, two isolated VE.Direct ports and one isolated and one non-isolated VE.Can port are available. Up to 25 VE.Direct devices can be connected directly or via VE.Direct-to-USB interfaces. In large-scale systems, the practical number supported may be lower depending on the system configuration. Three USB-A ports allow for the addition of further interfaces and functions. VE.Bus products such as the MultiPlus or Quattro require an optional MK3 USB interface. Relays and digital or analog inputs and outputs are not integrated and can be added depending on the application, for example, with the GX I/O Extender 150 or GX Tank 140.

Compact solution without an integrated display

It has neither a built-in display nor an HDMI output. For local display, a smartphone, tablet, or Android GX WiFi Display can be used via Wi-Fi. Bluetooth supports initial setup and network configuration but is not used for direct connection to other Victron products such as SmartSolar charge controllers. The device is powered by 8 to 70 V DC. Power supply via Ethernet or USB is not possible. The DIN35 adapter (sold separately) is required for DIN rail mounting. Due to its IP20 protection rating, a protected, dry installation location is required.
