The Lithium SuperPack LSP 12.8/100 from Victron Energy (MPN BAT512110712) is a latest-generation high-current lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery. With a capacity of 100 Ah and a nominal voltage of 12.8 V, it delivers a solid 1,280 Wh of energy while weighing just 14 kilograms. The Lithium SuperPack series is equipped with a BMS that handles the most important tasks involved in operating a LiFePO4 battery. This allows the battery to be put into service immediately without any external accessories.

The Lithium SuperPack series is Victron’s Basic LiFePO4 series, stripped down to the essentials to offer a model designed specifically for a low purchase price. As a result, compared to other LiFePO4 series from Victron, it offers no options for evaluating status information, analyzing data, or system integration. However, it is very easy to use and can be put into operation immediately without any additional accessories. Its cycle life is also impressive: it can handle 2,500 cycles at an 80 percent discharge rate, and significantly more at lower discharge rates.

The Integrated BMS

The integrated BMS ensures that the battery cannot be damaged by cell overvoltage or undervoltage and provides the necessary voltage balancing among the individual cells. The BMS’s feature set is rounded out by protection against overheating.

Parallel Operation Possible

The LSP 12.8/100 can be operated in parallel with any number of identical batteries to increase energy capacity.
