Victron Phoenix Inverter 12/250 VE.Direct IEC 250 VA

The Victron Energy Phoenix Inverter 12/250 VE.Direct IEC (MPN: PIN121251100) converts the DC voltage of a 12-V battery system into 230-V AC voltage. The sine-wave inverter provides 250 VA or 200 W of continuous power at 25 °C, as well as 400 W of peak power. This IEC version features an IEC-320 connector rather than a Schuko outlet. VE.Direct allows you to monitor operating values and configure key parameters.

250 VA for compact 12-V off-grid power systems

The Phoenix Inverter operates with 12-V battery systems and an input voltage range of 9.2 to 17 V DC. It delivers 250 VA or 200 W of continuous active power at 25 °C and 175 W at 40 °C. For loads with short-term peak power requirements, up to 400 W of peak power is available.

VE.Direct for Monitoring and Configuration

The VE.Direct interface allows users to monitor, among other things, input and output voltage, load, and alarm statuses. In addition, output voltage, frequency, and various thresholds for battery alarms, shutdown, and restart can be configured. A separately available VE.Direct-to-USB interface is required to connect to a computer. A wireless connection is possible via the optional VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle; Bluetooth is not integrated into the inverter.

Low Standby Power Consumption with ECO Mode

Without a connected load, power consumption is 4.2 W. In ECO mode, self-consumption is reduced to 0.8 W. The inverter automatically switches to standby mode when the load is low and regularly checks whether sufficient power is needed again. The switching thresholds for ECO mode can be adjusted to suit the specific application.

IEC-320 Output Instead of a Schuko Outlet

This model is specifically the IEC version of the Phoenix 12/250. The 230 V AC output is designed as an IEC-320 connection and does not feature a conventional Schuko outlet. The appropriate IEC-320 plug is included in the package. The battery connection is made via screw terminals and supports cable cross-sections up to 10 mm². The inverter can also be switched on and off externally via an additional connection.
