The Victron Energy Sun Inverter 24/250-10 IEC (MPN: SIN241251100) combines a 24-V sine-wave inverter with an integrated 10-A PWM solar charge controller. The unit provides 250 VA of rated power or 200 W of continuous power at 25 °C and can simultaneously use connected solar panels to charge the battery. Built-in Bluetooth, the VictronConnect app, and VE.Direct enable system configuration and monitoring. An ECO mode further reduces self-consumption during low-load conditions.

230 V power supply from a 24 V battery system
The Sun Inverter converts the DC voltage of a 24-V battery system into 230 V AC voltage. At 25 °C, the device provides 250 VA of rated power or 200 W of continuous power. At 40 °C, the specified continuous power is 175 W. Up to 400 W can be provided for short periods.
The increased peak power is particularly relevant for loads with high inrush current requirements. This makes the inverter suitable for compact mobile and stationary applications in which smaller 230-V loads are to be operated independently of the public power grid.
Integrated PWM Solar Charge Controller
In addition to the inverter, the Sun Inverter features an integrated PWM solar charge controller. This supports a maximum PV current of 10 A, a maximum PV voltage of 50 V, and a PV power of up to 500 W. It is designed for use with a 72-cell solar module or two 36-cell modules connected in series.
The charging algorithm can be configured. The CHARGER-ONLY mode allows you to activate only the solar charging function while the inverter remains turned off.
ECO Mode for Lower Self-Consumption
In ECO mode, the inverter switches to energy-saving standby mode when the load is low or absent. At regular intervals, the device checks whether a sufficiently high load is present again and then automatically resumes normal inverter operation.
Power consumption without a load is 5.2 W. In ECO mode, this value is reduced to 1.3 W. This makes the feature particularly suitable for battery-based systems where a 230-V load is not continuously active.
Bluetooth, VictronConnect, and VE.Direct
The Sun Inverter can be connected directly to the VictronConnect app via its built-in Bluetooth. There, you can view operating data and configure various parameters for the inverter and solar charge controller.
Via VE.Direct, the device can also be integrated into other Victron system components and monitoring solutions.
Remote Control and BMS Connection
The Sun Inverter can be turned on and off remotely via the remote connection. Additionally, a compatible battery management system can control the device and shut down the inverter or solar charge controller when battery conditions warrant it.
Compact Design and Integrated Protection Features
The Sun Inverter features a steel housing with a plastic cover and measures 86 × 165 × 260 mm, weighing 2.7 kg. The permissible operating temperature range is -40 to +60 °C, although power output is reduced at temperatures above 40 °C.
Integrated protection functions include protection against output short circuits and overloads, as well as protection against excessive or insufficient battery voltage, overtemperature, and excessive DC ripple voltage.
