This solar set for self-sufficient power supply in a motorhome truly leaves nothing to be desired. The stand-alone solar system is specially designed for motorhomes. Except for the batteries, it contains everything you need to install and commission the solar system. The set contains all the components you need to charge your batteries on the go. What makes our solar systems for motorhomes special is that we use an extra-sturdy mounting system that can be easily glued on. The module can be unscrewed from the spoiler at any time if you need to access the area under the solar module.

We have also paid particular attention to quality at the critical point where the cable enters the interior of the motorhome. The supplied cable feed-through is made of the same sturdy material as the roof spoilers for the solar modules and is simply glued on. The connection is completely waterproof and will last for many, many years.

Offgridtec® 150W SP-Ultra High-End Solar Module

Monocrystalline 150W high-end solar panel with rear-contacted high-power solar cells from the American manufacturer Sunpower – currently the best available with an efficiency of almost 24%. This is where the world's best solar cells and the new back-contact process come together. The result is a high-end product at a reasonable price. In addition, during the production of this series, we took special care to ensure that the rest of the module was also worthy of these valuable cells. This panel is significantly lighter and smaller in size than conventional solar cells with the same output. The light yield in poor conditions is also higher with the SP series than with our normal mono series.

Offgridtec® MPPT Pro Duo charge controller 30A 12/24V

Highly efficient dual charge controller for charging the service and starter battery. Offers the option of connecting the photovoltaic system to the motorhome's electrical block. Using MPP technology, the controller automatically determines the maximum power output (MPP) of the solar modules several times per second. It then converts the excess voltage of the solar module into a higher charging current for the battery. Special high-frequency switching regulator technology with high efficiency makes this possible, ensuring shorter charging times and the best possible utilization of the solar system's power.

Offgridtec® display remote indicator for MPPT Pro Duo

The LCD remote display for the MPPT Pro Duo solar charge controller allows you to conveniently read important performance indicators of the solar system and also set important system parameters. The display is supplied together with a mounting frame for wall mounting.

Installation & wiring

Roof spoiler mounting kit

Spoiler profiles are the first choice, especially for caravans and motorhomes, when it comes to clean mounting of solar modules. If the modules are mounted in the direction of travel, wind noise is no longer an issue (this also applies to alcove vehicles). Thanks to the closed design of the spoilers, no branches or similar objects can get caught under the solar modules.

Cable feed-through

Cable feed-throughs from the roof into the interior are always quite tricky, as it must be ensured that everything is absolutely tight and remains tight even after years of use. Even the smallest amount of water ingress can often cause irreparable damage to the interior insulation and furnishings. This is especially true since moisture is often only noticed at a fairly late stage. This is why the roof feed-throughs were developed:
The housings are made of the same UV- and weather-resistant material as the mounting brackets offered in the online shop. They are extremely stable and completely slip-resistant. The wide adhesive edge ensures optimal sealing. The feed-throughs can be attached using the adhesive kit, which you will also need to attach the solar mounting brackets. The housings can also be painted in any color and thus adapted to the surface on which they are to be installed.

Cabling set

All necessary cables are already pre-crimped with special tools. This means you do not need to purchase special pliers for the MC-4 connectors. The cable is 8 m long and has two 6 mm² wires.

Bonding

When used in harsh motorhome or boat environments, proper bonding is superior to any screw connection. On painted or GRP surfaces, a strength of over 4 N/mm² can be achieved which, calculated on the bonding surface, is a value that would never be achievable with a screw connection in the thin aluminum or GRP carrier layer. This adhesive set enables even a layman to create an absolutely secure connection between spoilers and the respective substrate.
The adhesive set contains all the components necessary for even DIYers to create a professional connection. Stainless steel screws for attaching the solar modules are included, as are detailed adhesive instructions. All you need is a standard hand lever press for cartridges and a lint-free cloth.
