The modular design of the Growatt APX battery system allows for a wide range of applications and flexible expansion as needed. When combined with MOD XH-BP inverters, you have access to all the features of the series. Between 1 and 6 high-voltage batteries can be installed within a single battery tower. The battery module is a high-voltage battery featuring the latest LiFePO4 technology and boasting a rated energy capacity of 5 kWh. Furthermore, the system includes a state-of-the-art battery management system that protects the battery modules from adverse conditions, as well as a battery base that ensures stable footing during floor installation. Optionally, a backup box can be added for emergency power generation. In the event of a power outage, it is capable of providing up to 40 kW of power.
The APX battery system includes:

The APX battery system demonstrates its flexible configuration options here. These are scalable from 5 kWh up to 30 kWh. Thanks to its simple design, installation and expansion are very straightforward using cables. Another advantage of the new storage system is that, unlike other systems, a battery cabinet is no longer required. All you need is the corresponding battery base, which is included with this storage system. The APX series supports the combination of mixed battery packs from new and old batches, as well as different capacities.
APX 5.0P-B1 High-Voltage Battery
The APX 5.0P-B1 battery module from Growatt is a high-voltage battery that utilizes proven lithium iron phosphate storage technology. LiFePO4 batteries are characterized by a long service life and high safety, even at high power levels. In addition, modular energy optimization ensures that the system fully utilizes the energy of each battery. To achieve a highly flexible system application, old and new battery batches, as well as batteries with different capacities, can be mixed and connected. Soft start is used to prevent overvoltage in the system.

High cycle life
The APX battery system utilizes cobalt-free LiFePO4 chemistry and offers a four-stage protection mechanism via a battery management system (BMS), modular energy optimization, a fuse, and aerosol. This ensures enhanced safety, reliability, and a long service life. Modular power optimization ensures that the system fully utilizes the energy of each individual battery. Regardless of whether the solar system is grid-connected or off-grid, the Growatt storage system offers several advantages over typical lead-acid batteries and other lithium technologies.
Soft Start for System Protection
The soft-start mechanism is a protective feature used in the Growatt battery to safeguard the system against overvoltage. When starting or powering on the battery, the current supply is gradually increased to protect the system from damage that could be caused by a sudden voltage spike. This ensures smooth and safe operation of the battery system.

Battery Management System
The new Growatt APX 98034-P2 Battery Management System (MPN 98034-P2) is a latest-generation control unit that protects each APX battery module from adverse conditions while ensuring safe and trouble-free continuous operation. It does not matter how many modules are in operation at the same time. It is important that one BMS is always used per tower. A tower consists of a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 6 Growatt APX 5.0P-B1 5kWh high-voltage battery modules, resulting in a storage capacity of 5–30 kWh.

Battery Base
The Growatt APX Battery Base is designed for floor installation of Growatt APX battery modules and the associated BMS. It ensures the battery tower stands securely. The Growatt APX system has a modular design, meaning multiple batteries can be combined, with the Growatt Base serving as the foundation. Up to 10 storage modules, as well as the associated BMS, can be stacked on a single base.

SYN 100-XH-30 Back-Up Box
The SYN 100-XH-30 from Growatt is a backup box that serves as an emergency power supply for the home. In the event of a power outage, it is capable of providing up to 40 kW from the solar storage system. The switchover time is 0.5 seconds. The Back-Up Box features a user-friendly design, enabling straightforward installation and operation.
