Is connected between the 12 V/DC solar panel and 1 or 2 batteries to prevent the batteries from overcharging. If 2 batteries are connected, they are charged separately. The battery with the lowest charging voltage always receives more charging current. With LED indicators + high charging capacity: max. 2 x 8 A or 1 x 16 A
Technical data
Input voltage: Solar panels 15 - 30 V/DC open-circuit voltage, 12 V/DC nominal voltage
Max. charging current: 16 A total (2 batteries at max. 8 A or 1 battery connected in parallel to both outputs up to 16 A)
Connections: 1 or 2 batteries 12 V. If only 1 battery is connected, both outputs (1 + 2) are connected in parallel (simultaneously) to the battery
Indicators: one "Battery charging" indicator per battery, 1 indicator: "All batteries full"
Cooling: For currents > 4 A, the module must be screwed with the metal underside onto a heat sink with a surface area of > 300 cm².
Fuse: An F16 A backup fuse is required (not included)
Switch-on voltage: Battery approx. < 12.9 V/DC (± 5%)
Switch-off voltage: "Battery full" approx. 14.2 V/DC (± 5%)
Own current consumption: (taken from the battery) < 2 mA
Reverse current proof: (no additional diode required)
Dimensions: approx. 87 x 60 x 33 mm (with mounting base)

Important installation note: Depending on the load, the module may heat up to a greater or lesser extent. The heat is generated at the aluminum plate at the bottom of the module and, under certain circumstances, must be cooled by mounting it on a cooling surface in accordance with the installation instructions. It is important that the module is mounted flat on a cooling, flat cooling plate using 4 M3 screws or 2.9 mm sheet metal screws. This can also be the rear wall of a metal housing. It is important that the aluminum underside of the module does not warp in the process! Therefore, you must not use larger screws and drill holes in the module. The screw heads must rest on the metal sheet of the module and not on the plastic edge of the module! The module must also not warp during installation (if the surface is not flat). The reason: The electronic SMD components are soldered directly onto the inside of the aluminum base of the module over a thin insulating layer, and if the aluminum base of the module warps, the solder joints will come loose and the module will be defective. Please also ensure that the maximum temperature of the base plate specified in the description is not exceeded! Otherwise, a larger cooling plate must be screwed on!
