The Multi RS19 Solar from Victron Energy (MPN: PMR482602030) is a lightweight 48V/6kVA inverter and charge controller in a 19-inch format. With two independent PV MPPT trackers, it handles up to 6 kWp of solar power and can be installed in a standard 19-inch battery rack to save space. This combination unit is suitable for both grid-tied and off-grid applications. In grid-connected mode, it supports dynamic ESS functions and can be flexibly combined with various solar inverters. Operation without batteries is also possible, making future expansion easy. In off-grid mode, the Multi ensures reliably charged batteries and provides additional energy when needed. Operating Modes

Hybrid Mode – Excess solar energy is stored in a battery. This ensures you have power available even at night or during periods of high demand. If more energy is needed than the grid can supply, the battery steps in to provide support.
Standby mode— In the event of a power outage, the system automatically takes over the power supply and ensures a reliable source of electricity.
Off-Grid Mode – The system operates completely without a connection to the public power grid, making it perfect for an independent power supply.
Generator Mode – Thegenerator is used efficiently to minimize runtime. If the output is insufficient, the battery supplements the power demand.

PowerControl and PowerAssist – Smart Support for the Grid and Generator

With PowerControl , you can specify how much power may be drawn from the grid or the generator. The Multi RS takes other connected devices into account and charges the battery only with the excess power that is available. This reliably protects the grid connection or generator from overload. PowerAssist expands on this function: If more power is needed for a short time than the grid or generator can supply, the battery automatically provides the missing energy. As soon as demand drops again, the system uses the available capacity to efficiently recharge the battery.

Capacity Expansion

The existing PV capacity of 6 kWp can be easily expanded as needed, either with additional solar chargers or by adding more PV inverters. The system automatically regulates the inverters’ output, allowing your solar system to be flexibly adapted to growing demands at any time.
