The Vertex S+ from Trina Solar (MPN: TSM-450 NEG9R.28) is a 450W double-glass solar module that delivers the best possible yield using a range of modern technologies. TOPCon cell technology
N-type i-TOPCon is a modern cell technology with passivated contacts (tunnel oxide + polysilicon) that greatly reduces losses at the cell surface. This gives you more power per area, better performance in heat, and stable yields even in indirect light. Degradation is very low: approx. 1% in the first year, then around 0.4% per year. In combination with multi-busbar and double glass, reliability is increased and the module can be easily integrated with standard inverters.
High-density cell connection technology
This reduces the gaps between the solar cells to a minimum. As a result, the module uses more active surface area, captures more light, and converts it into electricity more efficiently. This increases the output per module and reduces electrical losses. In combination with the multi-busbar connection, the current flows more evenly – for stable, reliable yields.
Multi-Busbar Technology
Each PV module has busbars that serve as power rails and are permanently connected to each solar cell. They collect the generated direct current and forward it to the busbars. Trina Solar uses a larger number of busbars to reduce shadow effects, shorten transport distances, and minimize resistance in the modules.
Double glass design
The solar module is equipped with improved double glass, which makes it less susceptible to microcracks and scratches on the back during installation. This gives it increased mechanical resistance and strength. It is particularly suitable for use in coastal areas, in high temperatures and high humidity, and in demanding environments. Degradation explained
This means that the performance of the 450W module decreases only slightly over the years. In the first year, it decreases by a maximum of 1%, from 450W to around 445.5W. From year 2 to 30, the decrease is a maximum of 0.4% per year. The bottom line is that after 30 years, the module still delivers around 87.4% of its initial output – that's about 394 W – ensuring you stable long-term yields.
