Connecting the solar panels takes just a few seconds via plug-and-play and provides you with a reliable hot water supply. Unlike the standard 80-liter Fothermo off-grid boiler, the hybrid version allows for supplementary heating via the 230V power grid. Due to the low voltage level of less than 50V, no licensed electrician is required for installation

The water heaters operate at a power output of up to 1500W. If desired, there is also the option of supplementary heating via the existing heating system. Installation is straightforward, similar to that of conventional storage water heaters. A vacuum relief valve and a check valve are also included to ensure maximum safety.

1500W supplemental heating

The Fothermo Hybrid Boiler offers a smart solution for situations where solar energy is insufficient to heat the water for an extended period. Using the 230 V auxiliary heating system with an adjustable dial, a minimum temperature can be set, e.g., 35°C. If the water temperature drops below this value, the boiler is automatically reheated using 1,500 W of power from the grid until the minimum temperature is reached again. The water heater has a maximum water temperature of 65°C and, when fully heated, can provide approximately 72 liters of 34°C water for showers (for a 30-liter water heater) or 180 liters for the 80-liter water heater.

The innovative MPP tracker increases the output of your photovoltaic system by up to 50% by constantly ensuring the optimal operating point of the connected PV modules.
