Growatt MIN 3000TL-XH2 Hybrid Inverter, 3000W, Single-Phase

The Growatt MIN 3000TL-XH2 (MPN: MIN3000 TL-XH2) is a single-phase, battery-compatible inverter with a rated AC power output of 3000 W. It is designed for grid-connected photovoltaic systems and also allows for the future integration of a compatible high-voltage battery storage system. With two independent MPP trackers, a maximum recommended PV power of 6000 W, and up to 16 A of input current per MPPT, the unit offers flexible options for configuring the PV system. The battery connection operates within a voltage range of 360 to 500 V and supports a charging or discharging power of up to 3,000 W for the inverter. Two MPP trackers for different PV strings

The inverter operates with two independent MPPTs, each with one string input. A Maximum Power Point Tracker continuously adjusts the electrical operating point of the connected solar modules to ensure that an optimal power point is utilized within the respective operating conditions. Two separate trackers are particularly useful for PV strings with different orientations or operating characteristics, as both inputs can be controlled independently. For the 3000 W model, Growatt specifies a maximum recommended PV generator power of 6000 W. However, when designing the specific string configuration, all voltage and current limits of the inverter as well as the electrical characteristics of the solar modules used must be taken into account.

Backup Function with an Additional System Component

The XH2 series supports a configurable backup mode. Note that additional system components are required for an actual backup power supply. For this, you’ll need a battery as well as a Backup Box or SYN. The inverter alone therefore does not constitute a complete backup power solution. When combined with the appropriate system configuration, the backup function can be used to supply designated loads in the event of a power outage.

Monitoring and Communication

An OLED display and an LED status indicator are available for monitoring directly on the inverter. RS485 and USB are integrated as communication interfaces. Wi-Fi, GPRS, 4G, LAN, and RF are optional communication options. Additional optional accessories include the ShineWiLan-X2, ShineLink-X2, Shine4G-X, and the GroHomeManager-X, among others. The USB-A port can also be used for compatible monitoring devices and firmware updates. For energy management, the inverter also supports feed-in limitation functions in conjunction with a suitable smart meter or current transformer.

For actual installation, however, the guidelines described in the manual regarding the installation location and protection against direct sunlight, rain, and snow must be followed.
