Offgridtec’s 3-phase backup systems are ideal for emergency power supply or for expanding an existing solar system. In addition to lithium-ion batteries from Pytes, the systems include the appropriate MultiPlus-II unit combination and a Cerbo GX MK2 from Victron Energy for system monitoring. This allows you to ensure your power supply even in the event of a power outage.

With Pytes batteries, you have a storage capacity ranging from 5.12 kWh to 10.24 kWh, allowing you to use your energy efficiently and remain self-sufficient for longer when needed. Thanks to its UPS function, the MultiPlus remains powered on even during a grid failure and takes over powering the connected loads. The switchover occurs so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices is guaranteed.

Advanced Use of Your Backup System

The backup kit is available with or without a Victron energy meter and cables; however, an energy meter is required to set up an energy storage system.

With this electricity meter, you can set up a grid-tied installation and then monitor your energy consumption and keep track of your energy costs. Thanks to phase compensation, you can even use the 3-phase meter for 1-phase systems. This makes seamless integration of decentralized energy sources and consumers into the existing power grid a breeze.

The Electronic Core – the Victron Multiplus-II Combination Unit

The Multiplus-II is a high-end unit combination from Victron Energy, consisting of a 48V battery charger, inverter, and transfer switch. This combination integrates the classic Multiplus components with an external current sensor and built-in anti-islanding function. This extends the PowerControl and PowerAssist functions to 50A and broadens the potential range of applications to include energy storage systems. The Multiplus is therefore ideal for use as a backup power supply in both grid-connected and off-grid systems.
