The air-cooled energy storage system (ESS) from SolaX (MPN: 1070010119) delivers up to 100 kW of output power with 215 kWh of storage capacity and is designed for space-critical installations. It combines an energy conversion module with an intelligent, air-cooled LiFePO4 battery system. The existing EMS (Energy Management System) precisely controls charging and discharging so that the system stores and releases electricity as needed. Thanks to its modular architecture, you can scale the system to meet your needs, up to the megawatt hour range. The cabinet integrates seamlessly into grid-connected, off-grid, and hybrid applications.
It networks proprietary core components such as BMS (Battery Management System), EMS (Energy Management System), and PCS (Power Conversion System) for seamless integration, safe operation, and quick commissioningthe system records operating parameters as well as event and error logs seamlessly over 12 months, creating transparency for analysis, optimization, and verification. To do this, you can use the user-friendly SolaXCloud, where you can also create an intelligent schedule. The unbalanced three-phase output also ensures a stable supply with unevenly distributed loads. The result: flexible deployment planning, compact design, and reliably optimized energy storage.

Support for microgrids and a wide range of scenarios
The air-cooled TRENE‑ESS can operate reliably both in conjunction with the public grid and as a separate island grid. The system can set up a local grid itself and keep it stable, adapt to existing grids, and start up independently after power failures. Typical applications include emergency power supply, peak shaving and load shifting, self-consumption optimization with PV, and buffering for charging infrastructure, construction sites, events, or remote locations. Your advantage: high supply security, lower energy costs, and a flexibly scalable solution for your specific application.
Advanced EMS
The system controls the operating strategy of your storage system autonomously and proactively. It optimizes charging and discharging in real time based on market prices, tariffs, and generation/load forecasts, and automatically executes scenarios such as peak shaving, self-consumption optimization, load shifting, and price arbitrage. This reduces OPEX (operating expenditures), increases utilization efficiency, and shortens the payback period of your investment.
Three-phase unbalanced output
The storage unit can supply different amounts of power to the three house power phases (L1, L2, L3). It does not have to distribute the load evenly, but delivers more energy where it is needed. This means you have a better supply for mixed consumers, a higher self-consumption rate, and less grid consumption – even if, for example, one phase is more heavily loaded by a heat pump. Example: With a total output of 10 kW, approximately 5 kW is possible on L1, 3 kW on L2, and 2 kW on L3 (within the device limits).
Grid-connected and grid-independent support
It either works together with the public grid or supplies you independently as needed. In grid operation, it optimizes self-consumption, smooths out power peaks, and takes advantage of dynamic tariffs. In the event of a grid failure or desired self-sufficiency, the system forms its own grid (voltage and frequency) and keeps critical consumers reliably in operation – depending on the configuration, even with automatic transition. This gives you maximum flexibility, high supply security, and economical operation.
TOU mode (Time-of-Use)
You can use the SolaXCloud app or the web to specify exactly how your system should operate at different times of the day. You can divide the day into up to 24 time slots, each lasting at least 15 minutes. For each time slot, you can individually select whether the system should switch to self-consumption, charging, discharging, peak load operation, or battery shutdown, for example. This allows you to optimally adapt your energy management to your daily routine and different electricity tariffs. Detailed setup instructions can be found in the web guide or in the app.
VPP-ready
This means that the device is prepared for integration into a virtual power plant (VPP). It digitally networks many decentralized energy sources, such as photovoltaic systems, battery storage, or flexible consumers, into a common, controllable network. This allows these systems to participate jointly in the energy market, provide balancing energy, or compensate for peak loads.
The ESS includes the following components
- AC distribution system
- DC side Battery system
- Energy conversion system
- Environmental monitoring system
- Fire extinguishing system
- Energy management system
Protection and safety
The system relies on a multi-level safety concept with real-time monitoring. Integrated protection functions against overvoltage, overcurrent, overtemperature, and other deviations intervene automatically and shut down affected areas in a targeted manner. Fire-resistant materials and a level 4 fire protection system detect hazards early, initiate countermeasures, and effectively limit the spread of fire. The result: minimized personal risk and high operational safety.
SolaXCloud
SolaXCloud is an intelligent platform for managing your home energy. It provides you with a clear overview of your energy consumption and power generation, as well as easy control of all connected devices. This allows you to optimize the efficiency of your power consumption and get the most out of your solar system. Your data is transmitted securely and reliably at all times. With the Monitoring Cloud app, you can conveniently monitor your photovoltaic system via Wi-Fi, LAN, or 4G. You can view alarms, adjust settings, and control maintenance. To do this, plug the dongle into the USB port of the inverter. Once switched on, you can connect to the app immediately. You will find the QR code for downloading the app in the user manual.
